Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

FollowPaid ("we", "us", "our") operates the FollowPaid service at followpaid.com. We help service businesses send automated invoice payment reminders and Google review requests via email and SMS.

2. Information we collect

• Account information: your name and email address when you register.
• QuickBooks data: invoice records, customer names, and customer contact details pulled from your QuickBooks account via the Intuit OAuth 2.0 API. We store OAuth access and refresh tokens to maintain the connection.
• Customer phone numbers and SMS consent records:when a business adds a customer's phone number, we store the number along with that customer's SMS opt-in status, including the date and time they opted in or out and the ID of their opt-in text message reply.
• Billing information: subscription and payment method details managed by Stripe. We never store full card numbers.
• Usage data: log data such as IP address, browser type, and pages visited, collected automatically when you use the service.

3. How we use your information

• To operate and provide the FollowPaid service.
• To send invoice payment reminders and review requests on your behalf.
• To process subscription payments through Stripe.
• To communicate with you about your account and service updates.
• To improve and debug the service.

4. Data sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your data or your customers' data with any third party for that third party's own marketing or promotional purposes.

We use a small number of subprocessors that handle data solely on our behalf and solely to deliver the FollowPaid service. These are not independent third parties who receive your data for their own use; they are service providers contractually bound to process data only as we instruct:

• Intuit / QuickBooks: to authenticate and sync invoice data.
• Stripe: to process subscription payments.
• Resend: to deliver email reminders.
• Twilio: to deliver SMS messages.
• Vercel: cloud hosting provider.

No mobile information, phone numbers, or SMS opt-in consent data will be shared with any third party or affiliate for any purpose, including marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent are never shared with, sold to, or disclosed to any third party under any circumstances. The subprocessors listed above act only to deliver the messages you have consented to receive and do not receive your data for their own use.

5. SMS communications

SMS messages are sent only to individuals who have opted in by replying YES to an opt-in invitation text. Message types are invoice payment reminders and review requests sent on behalf of the service business that added the recipient's phone number. Message frequency varies, typically 1 to 3 messages per invoice. Message and data rates may apply. Recipients can opt out at any time by replying STOP and can get assistance by replying HELP. Consent to receive SMS messages is voluntary and is not a condition of purchasing any goods or services, of receiving service, or of paying an invoice. Recipients are never required to provide a phone number in order to use or be served by a FollowPaid customer. See our SMS Consent Guidelines for full details.

6. Data retention

We retain your account data and QuickBooks tokens for as long as your account is active. When you disconnect QuickBooks or delete your account, we delete your OAuth tokens and remove synced invoice data within 30 days.

7. Security

OAuth tokens are stored encrypted at rest in our database. All data is transmitted over HTTPS. We follow industry-standard security practices to protect your information.

8. Your rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data at any time by contacting us. You can disconnect your QuickBooks account from the Settings page at any time.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or by posting a notice in the app.
